Privacy notice.
This notice explains how Bill Power Consulting Company Ltd handles information submitted through this website.
Effective: 24 August 2026
1. Who controls the information
Bill Power Consulting Company Ltd, 10 Shasha Road, Akowonjo, Lagos, Nigeria, is responsible for personal information collected through this website. Privacy enquiries and requests may be sent to info@billpowergroup.com.
2. Information we collect
When you request an energy assessment, we collect contact details, organisation and sector information, project location, energy-use information, operating requirements, commercial preferences and any optional electricity bill or load-data file you choose to provide. We also collect limited, cookie-free website events such as page viewed, broad traffic source, country code and assessment-form interactions. We do not intentionally collect identification documents, passwords, payment-card information or unrelated personal information.
3. Why we use it
We use enquiry information to evaluate and respond to potential projects, request clarification, prepare an assessment pathway, protect the form from abuse and maintain appropriate business records. We use aggregate website events to understand which content and calls to action are useful. Our processing is based on your request for pre-contractual engagement, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and improving the website, consent where it is specifically requested, and applicable legal obligations.
4. Files and security
Uploaded files are stored in private object storage and are not published through the website. Access is limited to authorised personnel and service providers who need the information for the stated purpose. We apply data minimisation, access control, secure transmission and appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
5. Retention
Enquiry records are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a project proceeds or a longer period is required for contractual, regulatory or legal reasons. Optional bills and load-data files are normally deleted within 90 days unless they are still required for an active assessment and you have been informed. Cookie-free analytics events are retained for up to 13 months. Short-lived, pseudonymous abuse-prevention records are removed after 24 hours.
6. Sharing and international processing
We may use carefully selected hosting, storage and professional service providers. Information may be processed outside Nigeria where our infrastructure providers operate. Where required, BPC will use appropriate contractual, organisational and legal safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request information about our processing, access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent or objection. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Legal framework and updates
This notice is designed around the principles of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission’s implementation guidance. See the official NDP Act resource. We may update this notice when our processing or legal obligations change.
This operational notice should be reviewed by qualified Nigerian data-protection counsel before the website is made public or the form is used at scale.
